Just think about 112 years ago!!!!!!!

Well first of all I already have this book translated in Russian and even tough that book has more information. This book about waterhealing was written in 1894 just think about 112 years ago Sebastian Kneipp found that every dieses can be cured with just cold water . I like this book very much however I put 4 stars because quality of reprint is poor , sometimes I could n't understand what some words mean. It's very easy to harm yourself if you don't know how to use cold water for your good . This book will guide you . I use cold water showers in the morning and in the evening and I feel myself great.

The book is recomending a cure with cold water, for several different illnesses. My ilness is Rhumatoid Artritis.
I adopted the cure a week ago. At first I was frightened of the cold wateras I am 75 years old. The water should be ice cold in a container which if you stand in it the water should reach above the shin of the leg.
It suggest it that one stand into it and walk in place vigorously for only 1 minutes. When I got into the water and started to walk a rush of hot got to my body so much that my ears got red andd hot as well. After one minute one gets out of the water , not drying and rubbing the feet but as wet put on socks and shoes (I put gym shoes, and goes for a walk for a half an hour. I do this every even day. Then there is another excerize for odd days. I get ubder the shower but bend my backvertivally, and the cold water should get on ones back for one minutes but such a way that the neck should be under running water and for once the left shoulder should get the water more then the right shoulder the same way, and last the middle of the back.I count 30 for each par, and the whole thing should be just one minute. Again one feel hot rushing to the head.
Then do the same just for the left thigh counting 30 then the left thigh, turning around and do the same for the back of the legs again.
Then one has to put on a gown and cover oneself in a blanket and lying down warming up until the wet body warms up the and the gown dries on one.
It sounds strange when I explain it, but it had so far an incredible effect. My hands and feet after the first week, are almost pain free.
Kneipp does not want one do it for a long time just until the water cures the pain. His drawings and explanations are for using the water can, but we have very good showers now, and the whole procegure is much easier then it sounds. It also recommends to walk in wet grass, that is very good and very helpful for acheing feet.
I do it also, and it is curing my artritis fast.
It is a wonderful book, a wonderful cure. I should have 5mg steroid for the rest of my life daly. I refused to do this and in my surch for other cures brought me to the Sebastian Kneipp book. I highly recommende it. One should not be sorry for oneself and just get under the water. It helpsvery much.

This book has 395 pages and not 420 as described...

I received this book earlier today and completely devoured it in half a day's time. I really loved the book. The only complaint I have is that Amazon in the description noted the book as having 420 pages when the reality is that it only has 395 pages. I give the book 5 stars but hope that Amazon corrects this error.
